Major John Harford through SFM Training has supported a number of military veterans through training and in some cases where sever hardship has been evident has been able to discount course prices down to 50% or zero. He has also on occasion, provided the same service to family members of deceased servicemen. Moving forward, Major John Harford and SFM Training would like to offer one free place per month to a retired Welsh Guard veteran who may be suffering hardship (or somebody in a similar position soon to leave the service).
SFM Training do not want to be inundated with random requests that would be difficult to verify so recommendations for the free place will come via the Regimental Veterans or Regimental Welfare Officer.
As well as the free place we will also (on successful completion of the course) actively look to place the person with a local security industry (SIA) employer.
