As 2022 draws to a close, this short video looks back on what has been an exceptional year for the Regiment.
From Iraq to Zambia, Uganda to Kenya and the Falkland Islands - The Welsh Guards deployed on three different continents in 2022 as well as taking a full and active part in Operation LONDON BRIDGE, the Lying in State, State Funeral and Committal of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Physical training was stepped up to produce a fit and highly capable unit ready to deploy at a moments notice and 2023 will be a big year for the Battalion. Exercises in Jamaica and America and a return to ceremonial duties when they will be front and centre at the Coronation of King Charles III on Saturday 6th May and will Troop their Colour for the first time in front of The King on Saturday 17th June.
