On Thursday 22nd November outstanding achievers from across Wales were recognised at the Armed Forces in Wales Awards, held at the St Fagans National Museum of History in Cardiff.

Special guests on the evening were Sam Warburton OBE, former Wales and British and Irish Lions captain and Alun Davies AM, the Cabinet Secretary for Local Government and Public Services.

There were just 14 people nominated in the four award categories of Sports, Youth and Cadet, Covenant and the overall Armed Forces Award and we are delighted that Sgt Kevin Jury Welsh Guards was one of the 14.

Kev Jury

Sgt Jury leads the Regimental Support Team South, enhancing Welsh Guards recruitment as well as supporting all military and ceremonial events across Wales. He has strong links with various diverse groups, including colleges, school and youth organisations such as the Army Cadet Force, Air Cadets and Military Preparation Colleges and does a truly remarkable amount of charity fundraising in his own time.
