In October 2017, the Widow of a Welsh Guards Veteran was at the point of being made homeless due to circumstances outside of her control. The Welsh Guards Charity provided a grant to cover the rental bond for a new home for her and with the support of other Service Charities was able to furnish it with some basic items.
