The RVO has visited older Veterans of the Regiment who reside in care homes. He will spend the afternoon with them and share stories etc. The Veterans often don’t need anything but some company and someone who can relate to their time in the Army.
Ex-Sgt R*** served with the Regiment in the 1960’s and currently resides in a care home in South Wales. The RVO spent the afternoon with him and his Sister. The stories they shared were similar even though generations separated them. Sgt R***’s Sister commented that she hadn’t seen him so happy in a long time.
