A tremendous fund raising effort by Mike Hermanis earlier this year when he and 9 Welsh Guards Falklands Veterans re-visited the battlefields that they had fought on in 1982 as young Welsh Guardsmen. For most it was their first visit back in 35 years. Mike and his comrades walked from San Carlos to Port Stanley in memory of and to pay respect to those left behind. Mike raised the superb amount of £3,300 for the Welsh Guards Charity and then a further £1,260 donated by the Colwall Rotary Club, Malvern following a talk by Mike at one of their dinner evenings. A grand total of £4560 raised - well done Mike, outstanding effort.
