On Tuesday 8th March, His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales visited 1st Battalion Welsh Guards in Combermere Barracks, Windsor to present Op SHADER (Iraq) medals to personnel from his Company who had delayed there recently.  


Families of the serving soldiers on parade watched their loved ones receive their medal and then retired for lunch and the opportunity to meet His Royal Highness in a relaxed, less formal setting.  


His Royal Highness also took the opportunity to present a Long Service and Good Conduct Medal to LSgt Nicholas Mottram (25227294) and the Accumulated Campaign Service Medals to; WO2 (CSM) Matthew Davies (25136196), CSgt Craig Evans (25129588) and SSgt John Kittle (25174807) REME.
